I want to load vista and I loaded the compatiblility program and it says my
system passes with flying colors, but when I tried to load the CD that I
recieved from Microsoft to load 64 bit, it says can not load on drive E not a
valid file system, when I try to load the 32 bit version, it was saying, not
compatible, so I upgraded my memory to double, 2 gigs and now it does not
load, it just says loading, please wait and I wait and wait and wait and have
to reboot to get it to shut off. Any suggestions? Do I have a bad disk?

Can I load the 32 bit version? Like I said before, it gets stuck on please
wait and I have to reboot to get it off that.

Did you already get the screen where you choose the drive/partition
installation location?

You really ought to post some basic system specs when asking for help. If
your harddrive is SATA, you might need to feed the installer some drivers
before it can proceed very far.

Hello Mr Colin

The wonders of Web posting on newsgroups. Wonderful when the OP cannot see his original after 3 minutes and then decides to send another one thinking it did not make it

Bye

Great advice if the OP is using a reader. Bad advice if the user is using
another avenue, I have used Opera to access these newsgroups without the
error, so it seems to me the error lies with IE. When will this be
corrected? Please, I, Chad Harris, and a host of others would love to have
an answer to this, as this has been an ignored issue for way too long.

Hey Mike,
I put in my specs for my system in another part of this forum, but if
you need it again, it is a AMD athlon 3200 processor, Soltek motherboard,
socket 939, I have a Ati video card X800 XT All-in-one-wonder. I have 2 gigs
of memory and all total for the three hard drives, two internal one external,
600 gb. I have a IDE Western Digital Hard Drive with 80 gigs, a SATA drive of
220 gigs and a 300 external drive. I believe it is set up now to run off the
SATA drive. Like I have said numerous times, I put the disk in the computer
and all I get is after you push the install button, a please wait message
comes up and I wait and wait and wait. I have to reset the computer to get
the message off the screen. Everyone keeps asking me about where I partition
and other things have I done, basically nothing, just install the CD.
