Alright I'm lost and have checked alot of old post on it. Not a clear answer.
I have Vista PREM64 BIT OEM for my Desktop that I built and it works great.
I got a Laptop that has Vista Home Basic on it. It has reactivated itself
from recovery four times in less then two weeks. I'm getting sick of losing
everything. The latop was purchased from Everex and I upgraded the Memory to
2 GIG even before I turned the Laptop on. Vista sees the new memory but keeps
making me redo everything and its getting so freaking annoyying, I need help
if anyone can't help me out. KEY thing is Everex wont help me even though
they don't know about the RAM upgrade. Thanks everyone in advance.

Could you explain what you are talking about. What steps do you go thru.
How does VISTA make you redo, and what exactly do you redo. Be specific as
to what steps you do from beginning to end and be detailed.

ok sorry it took me so long. I have been looking for a new driver or anything
from microsoft. What is actaully does. The first time I start the computer is
says that there is new hardware or software and a recovery should be run. I
tell it to start windows normally and it starts to load and then it restarts
and then tells me that Windows didn't shut done properly and does that propt.
It tells me there is a issue with the Motherboard but I can't find a driver
for it anywhere. I did add Memory to it and have done a fresh reinstall twice
now. Aslo about 5 recoveries. I do delete Macfee from the download that they
provide to remove their program. I'm thinking that is my issue but I don't
use it for the computer. Not sure. But I can restart the computer all day
once I get it turned on after the first second attemp. No issues. I lose all
the programs and it now just a dust collector that I purchased.
