I just installed Vista and everything went smooth. It finished installing
then the screen went black so I restarted my system and it gets to where I am
supposed to put in a username and password then the screen goes black and
reboots. I have used safemode to put a username and password in and even used
safemode with networking to get online but my system will not boot normally
to the desktop. It only goes to where you put the username and password then
reboots. Does anyone have any ideas to help me out?

It is either a driver (most likely), or a startup item in msconfig. Was this
a clean install or an upgrade? If a clean install, then almost certainly a
driver. Since the screen is turning black, I would start with video
drivers..

I found the problem!! It was the video card driver that I tried installing at 4 different times. I guess with it being Beta it took just a little longer to recognize the new driver.
