Unless I am missing your point, as far as I can tell it just says "Do not
install both Client Service and Novell Client for Windows NT/2000 on the
same computer running Windows Vista." It goes on to say what you should do
when upgrading to Vista.

Correct... The Windows Client Service for Netware is not compatible with
IPX. Assuming you can get the Novell Client installed and running on
Windows Vista, you should not have any problems communicating via IPX once
you are running the Novell Netware Client. On Windows XP anyway, when you
install the Novell Netware Client it removes the Windows Client Service for
Netware upon installation.

Hello Badger,
Correct... The Windows Client Service for Netware is not compatible with
IPX.

In the referenced document is written:

"Windows Vista includes NWLink and Client Service for NetWare to transmit
NetWare Core Protocol (NCP) packets to and from NetWare servers."

"Client Service supports some NetWare tools applications. It does not
support IP, including NetWare/IP."

If I understand correctly, it means that the Windows Client Service for
Netware is not compatible with IP, not with IPX.

But I was not able to find in Vista beta 2 neither IPX protocol nor Client
Service for NetWare. Did I missed anything?
Assuming you can get the Novell Client installed and running on

AFAIK there is no Novell Netware Client for Vista.

I have not been able to find IPX or Netware services in Vista or any
information from Microsoft. I did find this post about when Novell will
release Novell Client for Vista.
