Ok heres my problem.
I have been installing Vista for 2 hours,
No problems.
And then I get to the
"Please wait while Windows checks your computer's performance"
and when its almost done,
It stops.
It has been like this for about 30 Minutes.
And yes,
The busy light on the core is flashing.
But the screen isnt changing.
The green bar is animated though.
Anyone else having this problem?
And what should I do.
Thanks.

Perform a hard restart by pressing your computer's power
button, then press it again to restart your computer.

it may still be working on something, so go to bed, and if it's still
like that in the morning, go out and get a Mac. you can find your
closest store here:

The part of the installation where it "checks performance" takes a long
time. I came very close to hitting the Reset button because I was
convinced that it had hung, but I resisted, and it did complete
successfully. The GUI's "progress bar" can be misleading because it
goes up to about 85% pretty rapidly and then just stops there for what
seems like an interminable period, but it's not really hung.

(Also, disregard the troll, "Ted Landry." He NEVER has any useful
information to share or any honorable intentions to start with.)
