Can I load the 32 bit version? Like I said before, it tries to load, but gets
stuck in the please wait mode and I have to reboot the system to get it off
the monitor.

Disconnect all but the monitor on the vga connector. Disconnect usb devices
not needed for the installation. Disconnect any other unneeded devices like
printers and scanners.

Why don't you tell us about your system so we can make more sense out of
what you are working with?

I have a AMD Athlon Processor 3200, A soltek motherboard socket 939 pin with
2 gigs of DDR 3200 Kingston HyperX Ram, Three hard drives, a Western Digital
80 gig hard drive 5200 RPMs and a 180 gb hard drive SATA and an external 300
GB Western Digital drive. I have a ATI All in one wonder video card X800 XT.
With Windows XP Pro installed.

If you are installing Vista to the SATA drive you most likely need to
provide the hard drive controller driver with the Load Drivers button on the
screen where you choose the target partition.

The problem is, like I stated, I can not even get it to load, so I can not
even think about choosing a target partition. It just hangs as soon as you
load it into the computer. I will try your first response of unplugging
everything but the monitor. Thanks, vanwink

If that does not work, reseat the video and memory modules. Especially if
you recently moved the box.
