Hi I hope someone can help me.
I have tried to upgrade to vista beta 2 twice now and both times when it
gets to the "Compleating upgrade" part my pc restarts a couple of times, the
install screen comes back up , and then it just stops. I dont loose any
function of my pc (eg it dosnt lock up, I can still move curser and highlight
the close icon) but the install just stops. Any one have any ideas how to
solve this, do I have to do a clean install? MSI k7 km400 MOBO- AMD 1.8 Ghz-
1 gig ram pc 2700- ATI 9550 256 mg vid card. Thanks

That stage may take a very long time. Having said that, uninstall anything
that scans (anti-virus, etc) and any service such as MSN9 or AOL before
upgrading.

Personally I would recommend a clean install. Mine supposedly had only one
driver I needed to get, but after the install I had nothing but problems.
Programs wouldn't run (that had not shown up on the analyser), many explorer
functions would cause a freeze or BSOD. I decided to clean install and it
has worked well. Most of the programs that wouldn't run, won't install and
those that do, still won't run, but still no freezing and no BSOD. Just a
half - arsed system with lots of eye candy.
