So please don't chastise me, but I wanted to experiment with Ubuntu, so I
installed it. However, afterwards my Vista installation went missing from the
OS selection screen. So I deleted the Ubuntu installation by deleting the
partition it was on.
When I went to reboot, Vista did not come back up, however, the partition
and the Vista files are still there. When I booted up the Vista media disc to
do a repair, it couldn't find a windows installation.
I tried the fixboot, fixmbr, recboot from the command prompt in the Vista
media disc, but none appear to work.
My Vista partition is not the boot partition, so I think I deleted my boot
file when installing Ubuntu.
Does anyone have any tips for how I can rescue my stranded Vista installation?
Thanks!!!
