I have tried to install vista NUMEROUS times and I either get through the
first checkmark and then when it goes to unpackage files it tells me
something about it cant do anything with the boot config. After that I tried
to reinstall it another way and it doesnt detect my internet connection,
which I know works because I used it before and afterward...help. I feel
like I wasted money on this...

Since you didn't tell us anything about your computer or whether you are
upgrading (and if so, from what), no one can help you. All I can suggest
is that there is some hardware (or software if you are upgrading) on
your machine that is incompatible with Vista.

For your next post, help us help you:

Well, except for your mouse and keyboard, try disconnecting all storage
devices such as USB peripherals, external drives, or
anything else that plugs into your computer, before installing.

Sorry....I currently have XP and trying to do an upgrade (I even tried to
doing the complete install). I have everything disconnected as for the USB
and peripherals...its as basic as I can think of....

Since we *still* don't know anything about your computer hardware, we
*still* can't help you!

If it installed the 'other way' but just doesn't recognise your internet
connection, you probably have to get the proper drivers for it. Download
any drivers you need before you install and store them someplace where you
can install them after.
If you gave more information as stated elsewhere, such as what your internet
connection is, maybe someone could guide you, but with no information it
isn't possible.

Netscape 7.2
Very strange. The buttons for reply and send mail are dead. I can can
manage by right clicking and choosing to reply or send new.

Other than that my netscape seems to work fine after moving up to vista
home premium.

anyone have an answer to that?

Thanks

john

Ooops... sent this to the wrong newsgroup... was sending to netscape
newsgroup I thought.

Anyway... I discovered it's a problem with stardock objectdock. That
isn't workikng so well in vista.
