Vista install blocked by Maxtor in Registry

How can I delete Maxtor OneTouch III registry entries so my Vista Upgrade
won't be blocked? Nothing is in Add/Remove nor in Start. A search of the
registry reveals a few entries. There are no Maxtor hardware devices
finstalled. Registry entries are legacy from helping another Maxtor user
format the external drive.

Can I merely delete all Maxtor references in the registry and save?

Error preventing install:
Close Windows installation and contact the device manufacturer for updated
driver software for these devices:
SCSI and RAID controllers: Maxtor 7L250S0

I was thinking that if you set the View setting in Device Manager to "Show
hidden devices" it would show the drivers so that you could use Device
Manager to uninstall them.

Dan,
Thank you very much.
I hate it when the answer is so simple and I didn't thinkl of it.

Orion.
