I am trying to change permissions so that I delete certain keys but I keep getting the message "error deleting key".

Another message is "cannot save permission change"

Are you logged in as an Administrator user? You shouldn't need to change or delete reg keys in more circumstances, is there something specific you are trying to achieve? Incorrectly editing the registry can cause a real mess if it goes wrong. The permissions have probably been set like that for a good reason.

To grant Full Control of a registry key you'll need to have a read of this:
