Hope someone can help me with this.
I'm having quite a few issues trying to get my new Vista machine to work
with the rest of my home network. I have 1 XP Pro desktop PC, and 2 Laptop
PC's running XP Home edition. All of them on a "MSHOME" network domain, and
I can share folders/printers among all of these machines without any problems.
On my new HP machine with Vista Premium Home, I've also set it up to be in
the same domain, and I've followed the instructions to make sure it is
network available (in the Network and Sharing center, everything is "On" --
network discovery, file sharing, etc.)
Now here's the strange part. When I go to the Network from Windows
Explorer, and look at the MSHOME domain -- I don't see any of the other
computers. Just the "local" machine.
On my XP Pro desktop, I *can* see the new HP machine, but when I click on it
to search for shared folders, it comes back with an error "You might not have
permission to use this network resource..."
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or something else to check?
Thanks.
