I have been working on updating my games to support the Vista Games Explorer
and have run into an odd problem. When I install my game (with both
PlayTasks and SupportTasks) Vista only picks up the PlayTasks. The
SupportTasks are completely ignored.
Here are the files in my folder structure (under
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer)
{014BFD08-0006-0000-0000-000070170000}\PlayTasks\0\Play.lnk
{014BFD08-0006-0000-0000-000070170000}\PlayTasks\1\TestPlay.lnk
{014BFD08-0006-0000-0000-000070170000}\SupportTasks\0\TestSupport.lnk
Play & TestPlay work fine. TestSupport is not visibile in the UI. One
interesting thing I did note is that if I take the file TestSupport.lnk and
move it to a PlayTasks\2 folder then it works fine.
I'm completely at a loss to figure out what's going on. Anyone have any
ideas?
Thanks!
