Anyone got "LOTR: Fellowship of the rings" to run on Vista?

Home Premium. Tried different compatiblity modes, but the screen
blanks at startup and then nothing..

Any help would be appreciated.

I got the Battle for Middle-earth 2 to run.

I'm thinking you're having issues with the movies that play at start. I'd
suggest going to where you installed the game and look and see if there is a
Movies folder, and if so renaning that to Nomovies and see if that helps.
Also, is there a "safe Mode" or maybe a Conifguration tool you can run,
before starting the game. Sometimes, games want to start in 640x480 mode and
that seems to cause windows to just stop.

It runs in compatibility mode but the screen goes black every few minutes.
