havent played with this yet, but im guessing its like a ghost image? after i
have the image can I A) restore the image after a drive crash or other
horrible problem? and B) can i browse through the image and selectively
restore files like i can with Ghost? if not... this is a MUCH needed
function

Here is a good webcast that includes descriptions of what you can do with
CompletePC Backup.
http://www.microsoft.com/emea/msdnshowtime/sessionh.aspx?videoid=219

A) Yes.
B) No.

Dual booting XP and Vista can destroy the functionality of Complete PC
Backup images. If you are dual booting and you save the Complete PC Backup
image to an external storage device attached to your computer that image
will be lost once you boot into XP. To prevent this disconnect the storage
device after making the image or make your image to shiny media.

Much needed, but very clunky and functionally limited, IMO; no
individual file restoration possible.

Instead, look into Image for Windows from http://terabyteunlimited.com
or similar product.

right. but i wouldnt want to back up files AND do a full image backup just
so i can have the functionality Ghost gives me in one swoop. and then theres
the question of using twice the storage...

nah.. until they get it right ill stick to Ghost
