I am using Vista Ultimate x64, On Xp i used the Group by Name option which
grouped files and folders into beginning with A..B..C etc, since moving to
Vista it is now grouping A-H I-P and Q-Z.

Does anyone know of anyway to change this to group by individual letters
rather than the range?

Thank you

I've been looking for an answer to that question for months. Why in the
world they would group them together like that is beyond me. I've asked the
same question on here before and got zero answers. Hope someone comes up
with something.

It sounds as if you have selected to 'group' rather than 'sort'. When
you're in Explorer next to the 'Name' column there is a down-arrow.
Click on that and make sure 'Sort' is selected and not 'Group'.

I have Explorer like that and it sorts as you want it to.

That does sort them by name but it still sorts folders and files seperate.
In XP it will sort them by name and group each letter seperate. Is it
possible to sort folders and files all together?
