My windows internet explorer that is imbedded in my new Vista operationg
system CONSTANTLY locks up. 4-5 times a day I will ask it to do a function
and I get the lite blue screen of death. I have to Ctrl/Alt/Delete-task
manager and shut down explorer or sometimes it tells me it is shutting down
the program, what do I want to do...shut down, restart etc.

Is there a solution to this problem or has Microsoft once again sold a beta
test verion of their operating system and a fix will come out in a year?

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time
things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the
malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what
programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

Also, try running IE7 with no add-ons (Tools>Manage Add-ons). If you
have added (or got preinstalled) third-party toolbars such as the Google
Toolbar or the Yahoo Toolbar, uninstall them.

Does the problem occur when using an alternate browser such as Firefox?
If not, then the issue is with IE7. You may wish to post IE7-specific
questions in its newsgroup: microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general.
