Vista Enterprise to Vista Ultimate upgrade

I installed the Vista Ent Edition only to realize i actually want Vista
Ultimate. Now i have the ultimate CD and Key but when i run the setup from
withing Vista Enterprise, it tells me "You can't upgrade from Windows Vista
Enterprise to windows Vista Ultimate. You can upgrade to windows Vista
Enterprise". That's the actual message. Setup does not seem know that i am
already running Enterprise version.

I thought there is a inplace upgrde path for VISTA ENT to Ultimate? Am i
wrong?
 
You'll need to perform a "clean install" of Windows Vista Ultimate.
