how do I get the contact list / folder on with the inbox folder, used to be
just below it, now it's gone? i've checked views, folders not sure where
else to look?
 
Are you sure you were using Windows Mail when you got the contacts showing
like that? If I understand what you are asking, then Outlook Express can do
that but not Windows Mail.
 
In Windows Mail, you can't show the contacts like you did with OE.

Contacts are stored in a separate folder. There should be an icon for it on
the toolbar, or click on Tools - Windows contacts

Or do you mean in Windows Live Mail?
