I installed an additional 1gig of RAM into my ASUS notebook, and while either
stick will operate just fine by themselves, only one is recognized if they
are both installed. Strangely, the newly installed BIOS recognizes the new
RAM, but Vista doesn't. Any suggestions?

During instalation Vista demands driver which is impossible to obtain(maybe
10 years ago) ......must be imstall on different DVD ......

Try your chipset drivers for your IDE controller. That is what it wanted
during my install when it said it needed DVD drive drivers.

Nevermind. Vista has a checkbox setting in msconfig.exe buried under Advanced
BOOT Settings to allow a certain amount of RAM. After unchecking this and
restarting the laptop, everything is running well.
