My i-cable modem (the WAN/Broadband Internet) connects to a TP Link
TLR860 router, which is then connected to a new HP a6126hk desktop PC (with
Traditional Chinese Vista Home Basic), and
a wireless AP (Orinoco RG1000). A seperate new HP520 notebook (with English
Vista Business) connects to the internet/network via wireless. Both HP
computers use the workgroup name 'WORKGROUP'. The HP A6126HK desktop
has a norton internet security software installed (firewall), whereas the
notebook does not. All latest windows/HP update service packs have
been installed. On the surface, it seems both computers can surf the
internet with no problem. But it seems there are some networking problems.
Network sharing has been enabled. It seems both computers can see each
other on the Network. However, if I use the HP a6126hk desktop to
connect and open the public folder of the notebook, after windows
explorer lists the contents of the folder, it'll immediately
crash into blue screen with STOP error. i have already run the pc
doctor and windows memory diagnostic to test, nothing is found. what can i do?
