I know all of the pricing information for Vista Gold is not available yet.
However, I have seen prices of around $250 for the Vista ultimate upgrade.
Does anyone have any idea what the price for the non-upgrade (non-OEM)
version of Vista Ultimate? Also, am I correct in assuming that if I have
two hard drives on my computer (one with my current version of XP) and a
second one with much space available, I could not just install the Vista
Upgrade upgrade on the second hard drive and leave my XP on my first hard
drive (C:) intact?

Suggested retail price for full package product, $399.00 USD. Suggested
upgrade retail price, $259.00 USD -
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/editions/ultimate.mspx.

From a technical standpoint this could be done. From a licensen standpoint
I'm not as sure that this is a legitimate install.

The pricing is available in the Wikipedia article on Windows Vista. And
I posted a direct link to it here on Friday or so. Ultimate is $399
full product, $259 upgrade. And yes, you can install XP and Vista as
dual boot on two different drives in the same computer.

according to China's most popular discussion group,
people there saying 5 yuan or USD 0.6 is what they expected to pay.

The Answer is False, You Can Thank Microsoft For Their New SPP Technology,
Just FYI.

I think that according "new technology".. MS will loose, as always. Reason?
same as for virus creators: agains few... maybe agains one thousand of
employee even, there's hunderds of thousands of enthusiast. They aren't
thinking ab. lunch time and free time, it's their hobby. Look at russian
warez pages, i.e. I think, soon it will be available patch (maybe as bootable
ISO) for kernel changes even :/
