Use Windows Mail to access "Microsoft Communities"; it's the same newsgroups
as the Web portal you're using.

You did not use Windows Mail to make this post, you used the Web interface.

hi sorry to be idiot but i don't understand what you mean i thought all these
discussion groups were handled through windows mail can you tell me how to
use windows mail to contact postees ,and why i can only contact people in
this news group in the way i always have done ,and why this has changed
thanks for your help

You say you're using Windows Mail and you're logging in, but your headers
don't agree. Maybe you aren't logging in with a Passport of Live ID?

Your first message said you can't post or reply, but you're doing both, so I
guess I don't understand what your problem is.

If you're trying to send mail to just the poster instead of the whole
newsgroup you have to have an email account set up in Windows Mail. And in
most cases it is not polite to do so.

how i normaly connect with windows discussion groups is .....open internet
explorer- favorites -windows vista discussion groups -general discussion and
the i can log in and post and reply . My problem is that for some reason i
can only do this procedure with this news group and no other since 2 days ago
. I have, since my last post been able to connect with vista groups by
opening windows mail clicking -help-questions and answers from communities
this allows me to post and reply .For some reason this newsgroup is an
exception to all the rest i don't know if something has changed in my browser
settings or if it is a ms newsgroup problem ,thanks for being patient

Here is some reading for you - ng's are a far better system to that error
prone, clunky web interface.

Stop using the web interface and switch to a newsreader.
