Just out of curiosity, if you feel that Vista is a crock of s**t , as you so
elequotly state, why are you worried?

re: Richard Urban and Rock

I'm not "worried," definately do not have my "shorts in a bunch," and wasn't
trolling :-)
....was partly kidding, I s'pose.

I trundled along to MS to have a read on what's going on with IE7 ...Vista
seemed to be all tangled up in there with it. One of the things that looked
immensely useful in IE7, that caught my eye, was:-
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx#ie7interface ...on the
"Printing" tab
"Internet Explorer 7 automatically shrinks text for improved printing , so
all webpage content fits on your final printed page. Print options also
include adjustable margins, customizable page layouts, removable headers and
footers, and changeable print space."

Across the years it's been a constant fight with IE6 and printer settings to
get web pages to print in a controllable fashion, specific problem is -
often the right hand side text gets chopped off.

One of my customers installed IE7 Beta, a few weeks ago and I gave him a
severe b********g ! I reinstalled his whole machine, and business software,
for other reasons after that but, he 'phoned me the other day to tell me
that he was getting a "message, or offer, asking him to upgrade to IE7". I
could tell he was "itching" to install it. "NO NO NO NO NO ...how many
more times must I say NO", I told him. He will keep making system
changes - doing his own software installs without taking precautions, his
system tray is bursting with crap again - and his machine has slowed up
considerably since it was carefully, (and lovingly - by me), re-installed
from scratch. I don't feel inclined to sit there and sort it out for the
umpteenth time ...I'm rapidly approaching that point where - he can go
elsewhere ...I think. !

regards, Richard
