Vista can write to DVD but won't read the one it just wrote

I'm having a pretty weird situation.

I am using Vista Ultimate, and I'm having a bit of troubles with my Samsung
SH-S183L DVD Drive.

I've made sure to purchase DVD-R that are recommended from Samsung.

The drive has the latest firmware.

The only discs it has problems reading are the cd or dvd's that it writes
itself. Very confusing. I can put them in another pc fine.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix it?
 
I'll add one more thing. When you place the disk in the drive it comes up
with:
The correct title I gave it.
File System: IVIUDFS

And it shows the disk full like it should be since I mastered it.

The DVD-Drive came out with a firmware upgrade today and I was in hopes that
would get things going but no luck.
