Is it possible to do multiple installs on different computers or do you need
to purchase numerous licenses. The program is going to be used on a small
business network and it would be more economical just to use one purchase.

All and any help would/will be appreciated.

You need a license for each computer. Maybe
the following link will offer some ideas:

Theorectically, you can install Vista from one DVD (CD's ?) onto any number
of computers which support Vista, and they will all run simultaneously (if
you so choose).
You will only be able to activate one of them, however.
After 30 days, if you decide you want to keep more than one computer running
Vista, then you will need a licence for each machine.
You don't need to buy separate disks for each machine, just go to
Microsoft's site and purchase the licenses online.

Then if that is the case then get the Vista with a Volume License.Much more economical then getting separate licenses

You need to buy a Volume License from Microsoft for the number of computers
on which you plan to use Vista. They'll be happy to direct you to an
authorized Volume License reseller who can provide one. You may not,
however, buy one copy and install it on multiple computers without violating
Microsoft's license (of which they take a very dim view).

"...it would be more economical just to use one purchase." Lol, wouldn't it
though. You're joking right? It's the same in Vista as with previous MS
OS's, one license per installation. As others have said if you have more
than five computers, then get a volume license.

Another possibility could be to connect to the computer remotely,

perhaps people can make further comments about the legality of this,
but IIRC you are allowed upto 5 connections or something like that.
maybe you can somehow share the software this way
