vista business upgrading and dvd

So my client has Small Business Server 2003 R2 and 15 Windows XP Sp2
workstations. All the workstations are CD and not DVD. The client is
bursting to upgrade all workstations to Vista business.

Can I upgrade the workstation from a network share? If not can I move the
data to a local folder on each workstation and install from there?

Yes, you can. Check out

You can make an image and have the users install it with all the correct
settings. Similar to sysprep on Windows XP.

You can move the install files to a local folder and start the install from
there.

In addition to Dustin's and Robert's advice, keep and mind that you can
also order the 5-cd spanned set for x86 if installation from media is
desired.
