I just updated to Vista and when I try to launch my RDP client I get advised
the program has been shut down and the help advises that Data Execution
Prevention seems to be blocking it. I can't find the .exe file that runs the
program so that I can add it to allow it to run. any ideas?

Right click on the shortcut in the Start menu and pick properties. You
should see the path to the program.

I think something else is causing the problem. I use Remote Desktop a lot on
Vista Business and Ultimate with no DEP problems. I think some other program
is causing the problem. You should see some entries in the event logs that
may give some clues as to what else may be causing it.

Thanks Kerry,
I checked that out and found program mstsc.exe and I tried to exclude it
from the DER settings, but, it would not allow that as it says it is a
windows service. Still can not get this to work and I even tried the web
version and it even crashes out. Error is as follows:

Do you have this program installed?

http://www.tricerat.com/screwdrivers.php

I believe sdrdp5.dll is part of that program. It may not be Vista
compatible.
