Does microsoft intend on extending aany special offers on the Vista final
release to those of us that beta tested Vista for them?

Were you on the official beta testing team or just the customer preview
program?

They went out over 2 months ago.

If you were part of the Microsoft Connect beta program, and submitted a bug,
then you do get a copy of Vista. Other than that, nope.

Hi,

They did. If you were on the technical beta, you would already be aware of
this. Those with access to the beta versions via the public customer preview
program were not extended any special offers. There are some major
differences in the two programs. Incidentally, the technical beta testers
were not aware there was going to be any offer until the program ended, and
in fact had been specifically told many times during the beta that no offer
of the final product would be extended.

If you were an official beta tester, you wouldn't be asking this question.

You participated in the Consumer Preview Program, and were not promised
anything for doing so.

Is to give Windows XP to the Vista beta testers because Vista won't be ready
for at least a year (usable Ready, with less bugs)

Beta testing has not stopped, just that a lot of use have been con'ed into
paying for the beta.....
