How can I uninstall? Can't go online due to 1394 Net Adapter. Vista not on
Add/Remove program list, can't do System Restore, can't re-boot with original
Windows xp SP2 CD. Why couldn't Microsoft include a simple uninstall
instruction on their CD?

Why, exactly, can't you boot to your XP CD. There are a number of posts
here about uninstalling. Requires both a fixboot and fixmbr, in addition to
reformatting the Vista partition and installing XP.

Hello John, sorry, but I'm not that clued up on all of this. What is fixboot
and fix mbr ? How can I reformat Vista Partition? If I try to boot with xp
CD, the first option (instal) is not highlighted and won't run.

So there are no problems, what is your setup on disks. Do you have more
than 1 disk and 1 partition, and how are you set up. You need to go into
the Recovery console if it is available so check on that. It is the option
R on that first selection screen. If you are using SATA you may need
drivers later also, so specify if you have that and what chipset your
computer uses (ie nVidia, VIA etc). Also you will need to sign on to the CD
as administrator to reformat the Vista partition later.

Also, do you have a system with a built in recovery partition. I will be
gone today, so hope someone else will pick up your information and help with
the procedure. Bye.

Also do you have a computer with a recovery partition? I will be gone

You can't. MS did provide information on this on the Customer Preview
Program page at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx

"In addition, once you install Windows Vista Beta 2 (or RC1) you cannot roll
back to the previous operating system installation-you will either have to
acquire and install the final released edition of Windows Vista or reinstall
a previous edition of Windows. "

What you can do is reinstall XP. To do this you must reset the BOOT ORDER
on your computer from
1. HDD
2. CD/DVD drive
to
1. CD/DVD drive
2. HDD
in the Setup (BIOS) on your computer so that you can boot from the XP cd.
Consult the instructions that came with your computer to see how to enter
Setup.

Why are you looking for Vista in its own Add/Remove Programs? That is for
.... well... programs.

In his second post he said he got to the first decision point on the XP CD
where you have the R and Install, but install wouldn't highlight or run. He
has boot order correct.
I personally haven't ever had that situation, maybe you have.
