Can I make a check point in xp then upgrade to vista then use system restore
to go back to xp.
 
Hi,

No, once you upgrade there is no turning back. You could use a third party
imaging program to create a restorable copy of your XP installation in case
you don't like the results of the upgrade.

You asked this in windowsxp.general as well. Next time when posting the
same question to multiple newsgroups crosspost, that is send one message at
the same time to all groups, rather than multiposting - sending the same
message separately to different groups.
