Win2000 audio controls did exactly what I wanted them to do - record WAV
data created by one application in another. In Vista I cannot find a way to
do that. Is there some work around that will allow me to record?

I would be happy if I could install the old sndvol32.exe and have it work
but that doesn't work.

I don't need all the advanced function of the new sound system - I simply
want to record what I hear.

Doesn't seem like I'm asking to much

Regards.......

Speaking of Audio, I would just be happy if I could get "full duplex" back from the
microphone. I can't hear in the sound system what I'm speaking into the microphone
even though I know the microphone is working (as "Sound Recorder" *does* record
it). I makes it hard to use VOIP when you can't hear yourself speak when trying to
place a call.

Annoying isn't it. The lack of feedback of your own voice is why people
'shout' into their cell phones. Seems like a simple fix for you and for
them doesn't it. Why cannot audio feedback be provided? A. Bell managed a
'few' years back.
