I am looking for information on making a USB 160gig hard drive bootable. I
support "road warriors" aka sales personal. I want to take a image or mirror
of their working laptop hard drive and copy it to a usb hard drive. so that
if their main hard drive dies while they are on the road, they can still be
productive while i am overnighting them a new imaged replacement hard drive.
The usb hard drive model I am using is
Http://www.westerndigital.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=262&language=en
and has a nice backup program which will allow you to send and recevie
e-mails and retrieve your outlook calendar but does not boot up unless there
is a working OS on the laptop hard drive. Does anyone know of a fix ?
I have tried all the "web fixes" for XP and understand that XP does not
support this. My main question is does Vista support this procedure.
