Hello,

I'm using before a Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 operating system
with modified files to use the hidden mirroring feature. That worked for
many years without problems. So I could create a mirror of two 200GB
(ATA/IDE) hard disks as RAID 1. I installed a few days ago Windows Vista
Business (64Bit) on a third hard disk, so the Windows XP Professional
installation was over written, without unlocking the mirror on both 200GB
hard disks. Now with Windows Vista I can't access the fully intact mirror. I
also can't reactivate one of the hard disk drives. Both are online with no
error symbol but with the single word "error" on the right hand information
box. The only option I'm able to choose is to reactivate the drives but this
does not work.

Simple questions: Can Windows Vista Business (64Bit) handle mirror sets? Is
there native support in the OS for creating and managing software mirrors
like the 2003 servers can do it? How to access one of the drives content if
recreating of the mirror fails or the mirror is removed?

Greetings...
