Vista and Outlook 2002

I cannot keep Outlook running in a stable fashion. It was "A OK" under XP.
All email accounts are correct and I can test OK but minutes or hours later
I am asked to sign in again (to the network server - there isn't one only the
ISP) and failed. My other PC with Vista and Outlook 2007 is fine and its NOT
the antivirus or the link. I've tried various permissions and reinstalling.
Sometimes 2002 doesn't load and Vista reports that it has stopped working.
The linked page to the MS website reports that updates have been detected but
that link in turn takes me back to Vista. 2002 typically reports error
0x800CCC92.
Any clues?

Check the Outlook newsgroups. Kind of has me wondering if the older
Protected Storage that XP used might be the cause.
