I have the office 2k7 beta, but there are still some things I need 2k
for. I was installing it when I had a crash and reboot. Now it asks me
if I want to continue the install. I tell it yes, it fills in the
product key, shows me the eula, which I approve, and then it checks
for appropriate hard drive space and that's when it stalls. Anyone
have any ideas as to what I can do now?

Have you tried alternative methods of installing such as using Virtual Drive
software such as Daemon Tools or NERO Image drive? Have you tried extracting
the contents of the ISO to a folder in an existing install of Windows, and
launch setup from there?

Now what could seriously be in Office 2000 that you could need compared to
Office XP or 2003, Office Binder and Photo Editor? The only factor
preventing someone from upgrading to a more compatible version of Office for
Vista would be cost.

We use Office 97 at the church I'm in for presentations. From trials
of other previous versions of Office I've used, powerpoint
presentations except for2000 don't show up well if at all in 97. I've
used 2k7 for some files last week and had to go back in to 2k to fix
text box formatting that I believe would not have shown up in 97. I've
been able to do this with my laptop, which runs xp, but I'm getting
ready to send it in for repairs to my cdrw drive. I have not tried any
other methods of install to answer your question though.
