Hi

I have just bought a new laptop with Vista and tried to load Office 2000. I
did a full installation and it mostly works fine. It is when I am in Outlook
and tried to save an appointment that it came up with an error message that
it could not locate some library file... ?????.dll. I think it was .dll. I
have restored my system to revome office, as it wouldn't uninstall and I
can't fully remember the name. I was about to go and buy office 2007 but
with a need to save money I thought I would check the website and there seem
to be some good answers. So I hope someone can help.

Also, and I don't know if this is related, the defult (opening) screen in
Outlook, which is normally a dark yellow colour, doesn't appear, it's just
white and the customise settings button (which allows you to change the
theme) in the top right of the screen in that default page doesn't work
either.

Many thanks in advance to all those that can help.

OUTLOOK 2000 turns into a pumpkin when you try to input data. OUTLOOK 2003
is the earliest version that will work OK with Vista.

Thankyou for the link. Because Office 2000 is no longer supported for
patches and fixes, and my copy has issues on my new computer, it is just
going to be easier to go and buy the new one!

I just got some updates for Office 2000 last month but I'm using XP ;-)

Thank you for the link... I have searched to no avail. This link answered
my question exactly. Unfortunately, it is not what I wanted to hear, but at
least I now know I have done everything I can. Thanks again mate.
