Is there ANY WAY to install BCM 2003 on my new Vista computer? I need to
have my customer database on my laptop. I have installed Office 2003. I
tried to update with BCM and was told it was not compatible...this was a
shock. I didn't realize all of the compatability issues I would have with
Vista! I tried to install the SP4 -- I received an error message saying that
I could not install it because BCM was not installed...isn't that a bit of a
catch-22???

If it is possible for BCM 2003 to work with Vista, in what order should
everything be intsalled/updated?

BCM v2 SP4 is just available as a "patch" to existing BCM v2
installation, and not as a full install. So SP4 can only install if it
finds existing BCM v2 files to update.

You can install earlier version of BCM v2 on Vista, the warning is
really about Sql Server MSDE (bundled with BCM v2), which incompatible
with Vista in some corners, but it will install (and mostly work).

For your purposes, you just need to install BCM v2 on Vista, ignoring
the warning, and then install SP4.
