I have setup my new computer with vista, and activated a few days before, I
am using raid 0, I am just wondering what will happen , if anything happen to
my raid and I lose all my activation, how can I take a back up, so that I can
restore , if one of my hard disk fails, is there any way (I am not concerned
about anyother hardware failure, only any of my hard disk) , I have installed
msoffice as well and if I can restore in the event of any one hard disk
failure, without going into activation for everything that will be great (I
can call microsoft (in the event of failure) but I don't know how to prove
that this is the same computer and I have bought genuine microsoft software).
For all of my data I use external hard disk, so that is not a problem.

Hi,

If for some reason you have to reinstall and reactivate, you don't have to
"prove" anything. If it doesn't activate automatically, use the phone
option. Since the hardware hasn't essentially changed, you shouldn't even
have to do that. You can't capture activation and simply bypass it outside
of using an imaging program for the entire installation.
