Need some help here...

I bought Windows Vista Ulimate DSP after upgrading my pc

I installed them and everything went smoothly....

After one week, my computer is dead..... Cpu and motherboard are off....

I have been given an HP Workstation (vista capable) that is running windows
XP Pro. This PC is eligible from HP for free vista upgrade.
My question is: Will i be able to install and activate windows vista (dsp
edition i bought) under my new workstation or should i have to wait or the
free upgrade (it will take about 2 months long)?

I think it is unfair to pay money for an os that didnt work for not even a
month!!!

Thx for your ansers in advance

It should work. You may need to phone MS Activation Line. Despite that,
you can also install Vista without using a CD Key that in effect gives
you a 30 day trial which can be extended to 120 days by running a
simple command thus allowing you to use Vista until the HP Upgrade
arrives.

Do not know if this really works, but if the blogs on the internet are right
this should do the job.

Run command prompt as admin

type slmgr -rearm into command prompt

click enter.

that's all.

I can confirm that it works -- I just did this on a friend's machine, he
has an Action Pack, but due to a shipping problem he's still waiting for
his Vista key.
