I installed the full retail version of Vista that Microsoft gave me for
being a beta tester. I got one product key (and an option to generate
more), and I am supposed to be able to activate 10 computers with one key.
Well, I can't even activate one!! So I went and generated another key, and
can't activate with that key either! HELP!!

Get passed over for the LH beta? Must have otherwise you would be asking in
the LH newsgroups.

I know it isn't the beta. My point is you apparently no longer have access
to the beta newsgroups any more or you would be asking about this in those
ng's.

He says that he now has the RTM copy so he asks a question in this forum.
Why should he now go back to the beta forum to ask a valid question?

Hi, Colton.

Are you mixing MSDN and beta? My free key for beta testing allows me just
ONE activation for x86 and one for x64. (I beta tested both versions on my
one computer.) In fact, after installing on my prior 64-bit mobo, I
replaced it with a dual-core mobo - and had to activate by phone because it
seemed to be different computer.

You can use either your MSDN key or your beta-tester key on either the MSDN
or other copy of the RTM bits, but the license you get depends on which key
you use.

At least, that 's my understanding. And my memory, since I can no longer
see the beta NGs.
