Got a laptop that i have Vista on, but giving it to a friend, who has only used XP.
Can i just put in the XP disc, delete Vista & clean install XP?
Or will it dual boot, which i dont want it to do?

You can perform a clean install over Vista
Handy tip before installing though is to get all the drivers for XP beforehand

give him the laptop, tell him to move with the times or stagnate ... unless there is any software he needs XP specifically for, then the software isn't gonna change.

Just tell him everything is on the start button. :)

if the laptop can run Vista adequately, then Win 7 is a better option.

They need XP to run some program they use?
Not sure why, just going to instal it & sort the laptop out.

Cheers for the input.:thumb:
