I followed the steps and imported the files to my web, but after I saved I
noticed that viewers are asked to supply my username and password. The
FrontPage login box appears. The same thing happens when I try to import
Word files, as well. Does it have something to do with our network set up?

Users must applied all Office 2000 updates or use Office XP / 2003 to eliminate the login dialog.

why should they need to do this if they wouldn't be asked ot do this if they
were viewing from a local source copy?

these seems to be either incorrect or very strange.

Cheers,
Dean

Note, if the users press the "Cancel" button they can download or view the
file anyway.

The PW comes from the "Office 2000 Server Extensions" that are attempting to
open the file in read/write mode.
