I have a Visiontek Theater Pro 550 MCE PCI card installed in my Vista
machine. However, for whatever reason, Media Center cannot get through a
scheduled recording without halting for various reasons.
I've searched through the event logs and these are the various messages I get:
Recording of Welcome to the Grindhouse began late on 04/03/2007 23:03:55 due
to a lack of audio/video data and stopped on 04/03/2007 23:33:59.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was not recorded due
a lack of available disk space.
I'm recording to a 310G hard drive with 298 gigs of space free. Media center
is setup as follows:
Record on drive F: (298 GB)
Max TV limit: 275 GB
My C: drive has 18 GB free on it.
Now, usually, if I manually start a recording while watching the show, it
works just fine. It seems as if scheduling causes issues, but I'm not
entirely sure. I have also tested my hard drives and BOTH are fine. I used
the Seagate tools to test them.
Here is my system setup and I'm not doing ANY overclocking of any kind with
my system:
Windows Vista Home Premium with latest patches
ASUS A8N-E Motherboard with nForce 4 Ultra chipset with latest BIOS update
and latest drivers
2 Gigs of DDR PC3200 RAM
AMD 64 X2 4200+ CPU
ATI X1950 Pro PCI-E w/256MB using Catalyst 7.2 drivers
VisionTek Theater 550 Pro MCE using 7.1 drivers
250G Seagate Baracuda SATA II (Vista boots off this drive)
310G Seagate Baracuda SATA II (this is what I use for storing my recordings)
Integrated audio and network card on the MB
HP Laserjet 4L printer
HP Photosmart C3180 All-in-one USB inkjet printer
McAfee Internet Security 2007 (latest patches)
NEC 16x DVD+/-RW IDE
Any help would be appreciated.
