According to VISIONEER its OneTouch5600USB scanner is
(a)Designed to Windows XP and (b)uses the MS XP logo next
to the product listing. I am running XP Pro SP1 and the
scanner and scanner software provided (Sansoft Paperport
7) stopped working. WinXP Pro reconizes the USB scanner
hardware in the generic B&W mode directly. The FAQs in
Visioneer tech support area provides conflicting
information about the OneTouch5600USB scanner working
correctly ... or at all under the Windows XP OS.
This scanner worked under XP Pro previosly. It worked
under XP SP1. It no longer works with the latest
downloads of the MS recommended 'Critical XP' security
patches. Removal of the Paperport7 software app., the
device driver and reinstallation of the same did not
solve the problem. Any suggestions?
