The Transparency Adapter is a light in the lid. Make sure nothing is
covering the light.

Also make sure the plug from the lid is plugged in the body of the scanner
on the rear.

You also must use the supplied mask and place it on the scanner glass.

On pages 23-26 in the PDF, read about Scanning 35mm Slides And Negatives.

nothing on the light. I don't know what the heck I am doing wrong
Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks :

You should quote the previous post that you are replying to so that the next

Did you read the instructions?
Instruction manual PDF:
http://support.visioneer.com/manuals/9320inst.pdf

Did you select a transparency or negative in the drop down?
Read the PDF I linked to above.

It is the instruction manual for the Visioneer 9320 Scanner, it also should
be on the software CD that came with the scanner.

Read Page 23 (27 of 68) to page 26 (30 of 68) in the above PDF.
Pages 25-26 tells how to use the Paperport software for scanning 35 mm
slides or negatives.

Can you scan some thing reflective such as a letter on the platen?

If the above instructions don't work, you may have a hardware problem and
the scanner needs repair.
