Hi all - WinME

I have received two Visio files to review, and I have been trying to find a
Visio viewer that I might be able to use to view them.
I have found and downloaded the vviewer.exe for the Visio viewer. Yet, when
I try to open a file (SigFuel.VSD), I get the PowerPoint, and I get the
following message; PowerPoint can't open the type of file represented by
C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\K9ANDOP2F\Celect Ing.VSD

I would truly appreciate it if someone could explain what is happening, and
if this is not the correct viewer for this type of file, where I might be
able to find a viewer in which I can open these files.

Thank you, and very best regards,
Jan :)

You did *install* the Viewr after downloading it,
right? :-)

You might try right-clicking the VSD file in Windows
Explorer and choosing Open With. Then find the Visio
Viewer and see if that will open it. Sounds as if the
file association didn't get registered properly on your
computer.

You know, you might also try in PPT using Insert/Object
and navigating to the VSD file. You can at least see it
that way.

Maybe it's just my OE, but, I can't even see this post in
PPT, only in Visio.general, although I crossposted to
both. And it was not until I used the Internet access to
the NG that I was even able to see your response at all.

Some of the replies in other groups I posted this morning
still have not shown up yet.

Guess it's critters of the insectus infecti kind at
play. :-))

Yeah, the servers were having problems this week. But they seem to be
resolved now. Thank the deity of your choice!
