Sometime ago, I saw a post regarding a drawing software like Visio
which is abandoned by its company, but still available for download.
I lost the download URL.

Can some kind soul post the URL?

TIA

Visual Thought? Support site here:
<http://product-support.web.cern.ch/product-support/sdt/visualthought.html>
with "free" (valid 13 years) reg.key
<http://product-support.web.cern.ch/product-support/sdt/Visualthought/licence.html>
and documentation/FAQ
<http://product-support.web.cern.ch/product-support/sdt/Visualthought/documentation.html>
Could not see a download link there, but found my way to:
<http://freeware4u.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=141&title=Visual Thought>

The one you wanted? If not - and you are online - you could try
googling as I just did, just change the search phrase some.
At <http://groups.google.com>, I clicked on advanced search, typed
alt.comp.freeware
as group name, and entered
diagram abandonware
in the search field. Sorted results by date. Found a post that
mentions said program, with a link that turned out to be dead.
Performed a new search at <http://google.com>, searching the web for
Visual Thought.

All the best,
Bjorn Simonsen

The other one to search on is 'Grids'.

Many thanks. This is the one I have in mind.

I went to this page, seemed ok. But then I clicked the Link at the top
of the page (called "Top Page") which takes you to the index page of
the site.

IE popped up a warning saying that the site was trying to install
something (on demand).

Stay away from this !!

I didn't have any questions for installation asked on the site.

This could mean 4 things
1) You were asked to install the latest version of macromedia's flash player
2) You were asked to install the latest quicktime version (This is becomming
a piece of bloatware, but well historically I have to support quicktime
;-) )
3) It is something FreeSurfer blocked .... Moment
... Nope It isn't cleared my block list and tried again. No score..
4) You have opened (or your browser kindly has done it for you) another
(maybe hidden) window with a install instruction for whatever. Anyway, you
can't blam the site http://www.molips.com/intro/ (Well, technically you
still can, but it is not true)

No, you have it wrong.

First, I know the difference between being asked to install a plug in
for flash player. I get this all the time; I always say no. And it
wasn't quicktime either.

Second, I wasn't talking about the intro page
(http://www.molips.com/intro/)

Rather, I was referring to this link:
http://www.molips.com

Did you try that address? The pop up looked home grown; something I've
never seen before.

Disclaimer: For a living I'm a ASP / Sql Server / VB developer. So I
*do* know a thing or two about web sites.

To follow up on my own post:
embarrassing
This was "Install on Demand" - a feature of IE6, to load
Japanese language support.
In all the years I've been doing this, I had never seen this
before and it threw me.

I was a bit miffed because I felt you were talking down to me.
Sorry for coming on too strong.

Visio Software Download - Create Architectural drawings with visual effects & themes

Visio does really have awesome ease of use when it comes to grouping things logically for export.
This is essentially multiple-table inheritance that you can get in Visio Trail as well, it is the
domain as a simple reference relationship if you want. real-time data Embed together and program
the Visio drawing environment, visual Aero Glass effects, themes, and transparencies.
