Visability of Calendar

Hi,

I believe the short answer is no, but I've been asked to check into
this, so here's the question.

Is there any program or anything that exists that would allow a
non-domain member to query a user's calendar free/busy time?

Example: We communicate with customers/vendors and want to schedule
meetings, which we can do using Outlook/Exchange. And, they can do the
same. But there is no way for a customer/vendor to know, when scheduling
a meeting whether the person is free at that particular time, unless
they call or wait for the person to decline and go back and forth.

So, we're looking for (ideally) a web solution where they could -

login (so anyone can't access the system)
enter a user name (or email address)
enter a date and see the free/busy time w/o details

Does anything (even remotely)like this exist? We are currently using
Exchange 2000, but expect to upgrade to Exchange 2003 next year.

Thanks.

John

This kind of functionality will be possible with Exchange 2007. Some current web solutions here: http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/olpubcal.htm You also might want to ask in an Exchange group what's possible with earlier versions.

Thanks Sue. OWA is a possibility, although the desire is to just show
free/busy and not the details. Another option that I'm going to look at
is to use Crystal Reports to 'publish' a snapshot of the calendar at
regular intervals; i.e. once an hour. I'm not sure how well Crystal
interfaces with Exchange 2K (never tried that). We use it for reporting
from our ERP system (MS SQL based).
