Virutual Machine Vulnarability Patch

I received instructions from my Mcafee Virus Scan that in
order to prevent a specific virus, I need to download
this patch. When I look I only see the patch for IE 5.5.
Can I use this one or is there somewhere I can find this
patch on the Microsoft site. I appreciate any help.
